EPOCH: Reboot does not take place in a region called EPOCH but a region called Nue. Named after members habitually referring to the region as the New Region while it was being built, and a mythological chimera made of various animals, Nue is the creation of EPOCH's members. Long story short, the site used to have a multitude of canon regions, but due to issues with plotting and finding ways for characters to properly meet up, the staff came to the conclusion that a single new region was necessary to get things to flow together in a neater fashion. The region built and fleshed out by member Popple was based off of, and created from, the mish mash of many ideas our members had when we asked about what they would like to see in Nue. The farther North East you go, the colder it will get. The North West is a desert and the South is the hot tropics. Offering a wide variety of cities in different environments, Nue is not just one wide open field with forests and mountains, but full of varying environments depending on where you go. While the seasons do influence some of the weather in the specific areas, such as being cooler in the desert during Winter, or warmer in the tundra areas during Summer, many of the cities feature specific terrains and weather conditions that are common to their environment. Nue is home to a peaceful federal socialist republic that works hand-in-hand with the global Pokemon League entity. This means that Nue is not run by kings or a sole power, but elected officials in a state that provides basic living needs for the people in the form of assistance. In the Pokemon World, this additionally manifests in the form of Pokemon Centers and their free services and the relative independence and cultural variety in each major city or town in Nue. This has a heavy effect on the region's economy, which relies heavily on capitalism beyond all basic necessities. Nue used to be a varied tribal area when recorded history was kept on walls and glyphs; the Legendary Pokemon were the gods of that day and age and several ruins and temples dot the region, with several dedicated to different patrons such as Kyogre or Dialga. These practices died out long ago but the echoes still remain, and a general respect for life of both people and Pokemon remains as well as the concept of a peaceful afterlife. A rare few may still worship offshoots of the old religions - such as a cult paying tribute to the sea. While you may leave your home with a Trainer's Licence at age ten, you still have no right to drive a vehicle until age sixteen and are not regarded a full adult until age eighteen.

TYNNTILLOne of the bigger cities within the Nue region, Tynntill Town is home to the region's main source for any and all things relating to transportation. Location of the main train terminal, Tynntill Town is easily connected to every city within the region through intricate and well maintained tracks. As such, the city gains a lot of revenue from tourists and travelers, making it also home to a lot of big shot hotels. Due to it's connections to all the cities, it acts as home to many corporations head quarters, actually. Big business flourishes here while smaller family run places tend to be very rare, but the community is still very family oriented with a large suburban community on the east end of the town. CLIMATE; Tynntill Town is very flat and open with a temperate climate that circulates between a warm southern atmosphere and a cool and windy turbulence. The wide open plain it sits on leaving it prone to tornado warnings and some hurricanes during the windy season with the ever so rare bouts of heavy snow. Warm and muggy with the sun shining and some afternoon showers is what mostly permeates the local city allowing them to keep things on track, task and time.
AREAS OF INTEREST; - Crystal Palace: The main train terminal of Nue where all trains will inevitably pass through. At the base of this towering building is an intricate train station that almost resembles an airport with it's large expansive set up. Above the train station is the tower of operations; those in charge of running, upkeeping, and managing the train schedules working day and night in the offices here. Terrains: Urban
- Lunar Park: A very pretty urban park in the day time that turns unnerving and sometimes sinister at night. The area becoming filled with either ghost and dark types. The Park itself is a common urban 'Central Park' nestled in the heart of a city with a small lake for boating and fishing and a picnic area. It is also the subject of various mysterious disappearances, ghost stories, and is generally regarded as a place to avoid late at night. On a lighter note, there's an ornate white iron arching bridge over top of the smaller end of the lake that's considered one of the most romantic spots in the city. Terrains: Urban - Grasslands - Water's Edge
- Bubbledome Aquarium: The Bubble Dome, popularly referred to merely as 'the aquarium,' is not only a walk-in aquarium, reminiscent of Unova's Marine Tube, but also a marine park and research centre. The Bubble Dome sports one of the largest collections of water type pokemon in the region with many interactive exhibits that's great for the whole family to experience for themselves. Terrains: Water's Edge - Ocean
TERRAINS: Grasslands - Ocean - Water's Edge - Urban THE WILDSIn the center of the region is a large vast wilderness that spans outwards in all directions across the heart of Nue. The acres are staggering with an abundance of free roaming wildlife, mountains and unbridled terrain. Breath taking mountain ranges with pine tree skirts and snowy peaks, speckled lakes filled with glittering pristine waters await you. Thermal pools of melted rainbows with wide shallow rivers, rushing rapids and misty waterfalls dare the adventurer to challenge them. The expanse is so immense that not even the Rangers, despite their training that takes place here, have traversed every inch. The possibility of you setting foot on soil that no human has tread upon is possible. CLIMATE; Climate in the Wilds, due to it's vast reaches has not one set climate. Depending on which city you are closest to, the weather can vary greatly from tropics to freezing. It is the melting pot of Nue's weather, where everything flows into one another. Courtesy of being the point in which all the weather conditions collide though, storms are fairly common here during Spring and Fall.
AREAS OF INTEREST; - Safari Zone: Several areas within the expansive climate that the Wilds offers has been purely dedicated to the care and protection of Nue's rare wild Pokemon. After purchasing the Safari Zone Ticket & Ball, trainers are permitted to enter the Safari Zone and capture at least one rare Pokemon from the area. However, entrance is limited to twice a month and excessive battling with Pokemon trainers do not intend to catch is frowned upon by the Rangers that work here.
- The Wilds Reserves & Petting Zoo: If you're not interested in catching you can simply go on tour through the Wilds Reserve. Mount up on one of the many Safari Tour Jeeps and be driven off road through the terrain and witness the Pokemon in their natural habitat. No catching is permitted in this purely recreational and observatory area. If you have little ones that are just too small to understand what it means to watch and enjoy try the petting zoo just down to the left of the main Reserve gate. Along with the breeding barn there is a small fenced in farm area where the more gentle babies and older or retired and docile Pokemon spend their days being petted, fawned over and fed by the hands of tiny tots and small children who get their first glimpse and hands on experiences at some rare Pokemon.
- The Rangers' Lodge: Set aways in The Wilds forest, the Rangers' Lodge is similar to that of a massive hunting cabin that acts at the Wilds ultra sized Pokemon Center. Due to the size of the Wilds' terrain, there a many mini-lodges sprinkled throughout it, but the main one is large enough to fit even some of the biggest fully evolved Pokemon with ease. Rangers have made this place a home away from home thus coining the main lodge's name as the Rangers' Lodge. After it saw such frequent use by the League members, actual legitimate living quarters were built onto the lodge to allow Rangers to permanently live here if need be.
TERRAINS: All of Them ICEBURGHSandwiched between Mountains and the Wilds, Iceburgh is the coldest of the cities in Nue. Practically kept in a veil of snow almost year round the city has still managed to grow up into an urbanized metropolitan area despite the harsh climate. The cold is something you get used to after a while. Though the downtown boasts its skyscrapers, boutiques and wild game restaurants there is a large skating rink, Glaceon Pond, right in the middle of downtown where district hockey teams practice and compete. During the holiday season the Meowth Bank & Trust displays its yearly giant Christmas tree as Iceburgh Celebrates its annual 12 Days of Christmas. The further out of downtown it all depends on which direction you travel either way hospitality follows along with the soft glow of romance. CLIMATE; Temps range from the negative 20's, in the low's of teens and 30's F for the majority. The rare instances of reaching a high 40's cause a fog to roll in and sit in a colorful glowing white cloud over the city. The pocket of warm air making it feel like you could wear a T shirt and not care. However, wind chill is the killer. The mountain breeze zipping between the buildings can sting the nose, cheeks and fingers. There are weather advisories for staying indoors as much as possible when the winds pick up. Due to the constant snowfall and chill making streets dangerous to traverse on, there is a team of Slugma that are run by the street crews. The Slugma melt the ice and snow to make the roads safe for travel and are a common sight in Iceburgh.
AREAS OF INTEREST; - Temple of Insight: A shrine that exists inside Iceburgh City that has withstood the test of time, the Temple of Insight had once been built into a small mountain side but has almost been forgotten over the course of time. It is said that here is where the region’s first Mega Evolution occurred. The ancient stone temple still sits fully functional today on its raised perch, slightly frozen-over and watched over by the people of the city. Temple caretakers (monks and priestess), Trainers and ex-trainers alike still live in it to this day, preserving the knowledge of Mega Evolution across the ages and finding a goal of self-realization.
- Deerling District: A small area just outside the city limits of Iceburgh, this small town was built within the crumbling walls of an ancient city whose people are just as friendly as the Deerling that overrun the area. Warm and chummy folk in this small town rely on small local shops, a few expensive boutiques, and supply shops for ice fishing, local fur trade, woodcutters and various other artistic trades for a living. Boasting a downtown area that's a whopping mile long, the locals thrive on the tourism. There are plenty of cottages and cabins available for rent and purchase in this small town for anyone that just wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city for a while. Terrains: Arctic - Forest - Urban - Water's Edge
- Mt. Halo: A black mountain of molten rock and blue lava and fire, this infamous mountain is not just some spectacular landmark of Iceburgh. It's a very much alive volcano, and home to a small luxury hot spring called The Demon's Tea Kettle. This hot springs is only accessible by flying types, or a treacherous ever changing foot path that walks over the base of the mountain. Terrains: Arctic - Forest - Mountain

Truly, a natural wonder to behold and witness first hand. They say you can lose yourself in Bayonada and the locals can tell you that the rumor is true. Bayonadaville has a seductive attraction all her own that bewitches and spell binds some of her visitors from time to time, charming them into giving up everything and staying with her. - Wailord Sanctuary of Friendship: A Pokemon reservoir, a park, a living space, a education center, Wailord Sanctuary of Friendship (WSoF) is many things. The WSoF's area is a large section of the sea and part of the land in the Bayonadaville area, which isn't far from the main town itself. Inside the area itself is filled with marine life and ecosystems, such as a small coral reef, shallows, mid sea, and algae/kelp colonies and so on. It's a paradise for marine life. On the coast is where the facilities sit, as well as the main park itself. Many events are held at the WSoF, as to not only promote the message of friendship, but to bring business and favor to the people of Bayonada and the Sanctuary itself.
- The Seaside Contest Hall: One of the first contest halls to be built in Nue, this large building sits inside the Wailord Sanctuary of Friendship itself. It's also known as Wailmer and Wailord Seaside Contest Hall and Battle Arena of Friendship, but the name was cut short for advertisement purposes. The outside is elegantly decorated to match the sea and the rest of the sanctuary. Inside is a more simple, but still elegant, set up. It's well known for it's performances involving sea Pokemon. The stage can be set up to accommodate either land Pokemon or sea Pokemon. The hall is used for nearly every event held at the sanctuary, all the times and information for the events can be found on a bulletin board outside the entrance.
TERRAINS: Grassland - Water's Edge - Ocean - Cave - Rough - Urban WIZEN pokemonepoch.proboards.com/thread/5117/wizen-informationLocated well within Nue's desert area, Wizen City stands tall and clear in the wide open desert, able to be seen for miles around courtesy of it's height and vacant surroundings. The diamond in the rough, an oasis to the wanderer, the city that just never sleeps; there's many ways to describe Wizen. It's a fast growing and lively community, pack full of culture, tourists, and crime. Given it's remote location from the rest of Nue, and rumors of slums filled with nasty criminals, Wizen attracts all sorts of troublemakers as well as the adventurous - which might explain it's high crime rate and large number of casinos. Though it's a city filled with struggle, it has become the crack pot of culture and creation as many people with no where else to go come here to try and start all over again. To put it simply, Wizen City is a city that's all about giving it's citizens a second chance. CLIMATE; The climate of Wizen is consistent in the arid, dry desert atmosphere. Beautiful cloudless days where the sapphire sky is crowned with scorching heat are the norm 340 days a year. The other 25 are filled with relentless storms that quench the cracked earth and provide some relief but leaving a smothering, sticky humidity, or worse debris flow and flash flooding. Sandstorms, razor winds and dust tornado's are normal happenings for this oasis along with violent thunder and lightning storms.
AREAS OF INTEREST; - Megastone Mall: Looking for some serious shopping? Then boy do I have the place for you. The Megastone Mall is 4-stories high and packed full of hundreds of shops, boutiques, furniture stores, and more. This place is almost always packed filled with residents and tourists alike, exploring the center to shop until they drop.
- Clearwater Slums:
- Interpol Headquarters: Within the heart of Wizen City, among the clusters of skyscrapers and corporations, is the location of the International Police Head Quarters. Another skyscraper in a city of nothing but; the HQ is a sleek and modern recent addition to the Interpol branches. Given the newness of this sector, it currently stands as Interpol's most high tech and secure HQ. With Nue having only recently joined and accepted Interpol within it's region, the agents inside are mostly foreigners but locals have been quickly adding to their ranks as well.

TERRAINS: SHUI pokemonepoch.proboards.com/thread/5120/shui-city-informationLost in time, the city of Shui is set at the base the mountainous area of the Nue region. Unlike the large cities with skyscrapers and constant traffic, there is rarely a car in Shui City. Instead, many people travel by foot or boat. The city itself sits on top of four large rivers. The legend of how Shui was created goes back hundreds of years before the Nue region was ever created. They say that a Fairy Queen once ruled the land, keeping a spell over the King at the time, and made Shui a dry wasteland. It wasn't until four brave Dragon Pokemon decided to take a stand and brought back water to the city. However, once the Fairy Queen heard of this, she made the King imprison the Dragons in four mountains. They continued their duty to care for the city and were transformed into the four rivers that flow into the city and they soon became part of the mountains themselves. The mountains can be seen and visited to this day. When the King was freed of the Fairy Queen's spell, he honored the four dragons and built Shui on top of the rivers and placed a stature of the dragons at each of the mountain bases. CLIMATE; Shui's climate can vary. It ranges from mild, wet and misty days, to sunny days and moderate rainfall. Temperatures tend to fluctuate and gradually change, shifting from the low 40's to the high 80's in a day's time. It's prone to thunderstorms, especially during the summer and spring. The city is normally covered in a light fog. It normally hovers over the rivers but can sometimes drift into the city as well.
